agripod

nanodesign and packaging

Design explorations into food packaging that respond to the requirements of new distribution modalities by disclosing at best innovations of nanotech research. >>>

communicating nanotech

Nano is small, too small to see.
Together with Civen and Nanofab, this project explores ways to effectively communicate new material and technology characteristics developed through nanotech research.

nanotech applications database

Nanotech research rapidly forges new materials and technologies - but what for? Imagine a new material. Now think what to do with it. But now start thinking about dozens of other applications. Explore how they could change product morphologies and typologies and how they feed back into nanotech research for material refinement. In an ongoing effort, we study existing applications and explore new ways to apply results of nanotech reserach in every day objects.

research focus

Iuav nanodesign is a new research initiative of the iuav university of venice, established within the faculty of design and arts. Industrial designers work closely together with nanotech scientists in exploring possible applications for research accomplished in the field of nanotechnology by means of analytical research and project development approaches that are typical of the design discipline.
In this collaborative effort another objective is equally important: how to orient basic research in nanotechnology through an experimental research on possible and potentially relevant applications.
