Research focus
Healthcare is a complex and highly advanced topic and often, the central position of the human being and his psychophysical needs are not given the necessary attention. The MedicalDesign research group builds on several years of experience in the field within the Faculty of Design and Art at the University Iuav of Venice.
The research activity in medical design explores new scientific and technological innovations and discoveries through methodologies and tools typical of the design discipline and with the goal of finding new solutions to health related design tasks around the patient.
The approach of the research group concerns a vision of 360º, including the areas of product design, communication design, interior design and service design. Iuav MedicalDesign's approach is based on project based close collaborations with doctors, technical staff, scientists, engineers and other specialists of the healthcare field.
